I am a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of International Relations at Özyeğin University. I obtained my Ph.D. in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Koç University with the dissertation titled "Politics of Nostalgia: Psychological Origins of Populism." Previously, I was a visiting student researcher in the Center for the Study of Global Issues (GLOBIS) at the University of Georgia with the Fulbright grant. My research interests are on political behavior and political communication. More specifically, my research focuses on populism, democratization, migrants, and minorities in Turkey. My articles have been published in the British Journal of Political Science, European Political Science Review, and Southeast European and Black Sea Studies.
